Pastor Phil is a native of North Dakota having grown up in West Fargo, ND. Pastor obtained a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Economics from the University of North Dakota, and an M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Pastor Phil has served in churches in Illinois and North Dakota before coming to Ortonville in 2005. He has served in both the Evangelical Free Church and Converge Worldwide (Baptist General Conference).

He and his wife Lynda have three children, Emma, Zach and Nathan.

Pastor Phil's passion is to preach the Word of God and to see people equipped to serve Christ in their daily lives.
